Aetos Spyridon (1494 - unknown) was a Greek nobleman living during the Renaissance and, unbeknownst to most historians and philosophers, the Mentor of the Greek sect of the Assassins, a title which he held from 1517 - 1537. He was also an ancestor to Jason Cosmos.

A member of the House of Spyridon, Aetos remained unware of his Assassin heritage until his parents were murdered in 1502, prompting him to flee and eventually begin the long road to becoming an Assassin in 1504.

After several years of tutlege under different Mentors of various Assassin sects, Aetos became a Master Assassin in 1512 on his 18th year.

During his travels he came across another Assassin hailing from Lybia named, Anetta Castellucci and together thwarted an attempt to capsize all of Europe and parts of Asia by Russian tyrant and Templar, Vladmir Petrovskii.

Personality and characteristics

Due to the trauma of his parents’ death Aetos is a very troubled young man with a knack for cynicism.  He has great difficulty becoming emotionally vulnerable or intimately involved with a person he cares deeply about.  However, Aetos was also shown to be a very confident and often times, smug young man.  This is shown when he becomes increasingly arrogant about his skills and abilities as a Master Assassin.  But deep down he is lonely and desires for more than anything for his parents to be brought back into his life as shown when he remarks he “misses” his old life.  Though Aetos possesses a great deal of trust issues and apathy towards others, he is nonetheless a chivalrous opponent.   Aetos is also shown to be quick to anger and will immediately become hostile to any who oppose him and this is seen when Aetos yells in frustration when his Mentor, Nestor advises him to control his anger.  Underneath his tough as nails exterior he is a compassionate being and tries his best to better the lives of other.
